Well, we have finally hit the limit with Luke's night escapades. The whole family is exhausted and we can't handle this as we gear up for a new baby. So, we are using the Ferber method to get Luke to sleep in his own bed. The first night (Friday) consisted of two full hours of screaming/shrieking. It was phenomenal. Then, he managed to get about 7 1/2 hours of sleep and he screamed from 5:30-6:30 am. We are currently into the first half hour of naptime screaming. Luke is clearly so tired that he is a walking zombie, but he still refuses to sleep. The running commentary to explain Luke's anguish usually consists of "mommy, hold Luke." "Mommy where are you NOW?!?" "mommy, let me out." and then a series of mommy... It is so horrific to hear your child in such frustration and not do a thing. Of course, the alternative is to have to deal with this when he hits college.
IN other fun news... Al lost one of his front teeth at breakfast this morning.
Seriously, it has been one for the record books.
On the plus side, we went to a great breakfast at a place in downtown Minneapolis called Hell's Kitchen.
More details to follow....
