Wow! Well, it has been a week to remember... I spent time in Washington DC with the SEC presenting for the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals... managed to get a whole heck of a lot of work done and also had a birthday and Father's Day. Yikes! Talk about packing it all in.
Here are more pictures from our trips to Nevada... you can see the #8 train:

The trip to DC went very well and I managed to accomplish quite a bit on the networking/work front. I think that my presentation may also have had an impact on the SEC as they indicated that they would be reconsidering a prior position and making a determination shortly. So, let's hope that they side with what I was advocating.
I got back on Friday to a flurry of work. It has been just crazy at work and I'm hoping that things calm down once the Board and shareholders meetings are done.
Friday night, Al and I got to go out for a nice dinner and one of my co-workers babysat for Luke. We went to Restaurant Alma www.restaurantalma.com which is currently a nominee for a regional James Beard award. Exciting stuff. The dinner was absolutely phenomenal. We had the tasting meal and it was simply divine. I had the nettle souffle, masa corn crepes and the halibut. Al had the coppacciola ham, orechette and pork tenderloin. For dessert, Al got the coconut macadamia ice cream sandwich and I had the Greek yogurt panna cotta. Amazing meal!
Today is Father's Day, so happy father's day to all dads out there. Al is out golfing right now with Eric and then will be joining us and the rest of the Lamberts for lunch at Fuddruckers.Just right for a Father's Day.
Take care all!
